I Left My Heart in San Francisco

I’m trying to satisfy my craving for San Francisco. I feel as though my heart will burst and break at the same time whenever I look at these pictures. Just so many happy, lighthearted, fun memories come to mind with these pictures. I hope everyone reading this has a place they know of like this. Where’s yours? I would truly love to know. 20130329-223358.jpg

Vermont

We visited the University of Vermont on Saturday for my sister, and as usual I was the tag along younger sister just their to try out the school. But I was in for a surprise.

I really liked it.

I mean, I really liked it. It’s Eco friendly, super crunchy granola, but still functional, and a perfect New England school. Their radio station isn’t allowed to play top 100 songs, and the best part is that the crew team is no experience needed. Score!

The town of Burlington, Vermont is also beautiful. The little stores are adorable. I have been on a mad hunt for new boots, and in one of the shops, I found a pair of timberlands that were perfect! A very successful trip in my mind. Now I just have to figure out what to major in to get myself up to UVM!

California!

So these are just the iPhone photos from my trip to the west coast this weekend. My aunt and uncle who we went to visit out there were actually here last night, on there way to Dublin! Crazy I know! But I miss them so much, so we have to see them whenever we possibly can.

When we were leaving their house in CA on Monday, they said how now that their son is married they’re happy to have extended family near them, and then my aunt hugged me and I almost burst out in tears. I would be really nice to have them near us. Actually, I almost burst out in tears multiple times whenever I thought about leaving that place.

California is by far my most favorite place in the world. I cannot wait until the next time I can fly out there. Until next time Cali!

{I’m just going to go in chronological order: plane rides, See’s awesome lollipops, Portola sardines sign, cannery row because Monterey cans sardines, Hairy otter sign in a gift shop, cool rock sculptures, the lone cyprus on the 17 mile drive, ice cream at the rehearsal dinner, sunrise, practicing fishtails so we could do our cousins hair for the wedding, windiest road ever to Big Sur, 3 pictures of the Pacific Coast highway/Big Sur, a pit stop, 2 pictures of weird glass art somewhere in the mountains, 2 pictures of the kelp forest where the reception was held, centerpiece, bride and groom, my cousin and uncle giving speeches, a tide tunnel my sisters were fascinated by, dessert table I was fascinated by, wedding cake, breakfast, coral reef beach, sea glass, Il Vecchio an awesome restaurant, which serves this squash soup and bread pudding. Saying good bye to it all is always that hardest part.}

Over the Weekend

Friday was the Meadowbrook country club tennis banquet, and over the weekend I went to the cape. Definitely fun filled.

Friday was a really nice night. We ate, laughed and talked about tennis, and watched the end of the year slideshow. All done under lanterns. That was my favorite part. The mood the lanterns set is like nothing else.

The cape was also great! We drove down Saturday and left Monday. And in between went to the beach, the town, shopped and ate. It was a great weekend to finish out a great summer. I will miss the cape and the country club while I’m slaving away at school, but I will see you both next summer!
